The car may be fast but I suggest going slower and learing the fast line. You are cutting the corners way too early. And u almost lost it at the end of the video into the mud.

"A" for effort, but don't be too proud. It looked like you made the same mistakes every lap. You could learn a lot from this:

So what were your fastest times of the day? I remember you mentioned you were running 2:10's. Oh BTW, this is Ryan in the loud white Civic.

Who's "we"? I typically call 'em like I see 'em, so sorry if you or anyone else took offence. He made some rookie mistakes and I noticed. That's all.

I wouldn't get too caught up on that. I kinda think of it as putting, you do what works for you and you can repeat (and there are a lot of cars that don't need it and probably an equal amount that do). JMO

It's cool guys. Just thought you might like to see it.

Well, this was my first time at Buttonwillow and I got down to 2:08 by the third time out. First was just to learn the track. No one showed me any lines there.
A soft compound or slicks would have given me some better times instead of the H ones I had.

I see in "your" video that you really know how to over drive the front or is it just that your car does not rotate well?

I'm curious, what kind of times did you run to qualify for that race?

Craig

I should note those are the H4 times, not including H1 which run 2:02-2:03 for the fastest drivers.

During Qualifying we tried new setup on the car but it didnt work note the slow qualifying time. Before the race we switched back to my old setup but we forgot to disconnect the front swaybar. Even with the sawaybar I managed to put in some fast laps for H4 class. So that was my understeering problem at some corners. I wasnt pushing too hard or id be swtching to rally mode at 100+MPH.Check my SIG pic my car rotates very well witouth the swaybar.

Nice times for H4 with the way your car was setup. (with front swaybar)

I don't have a front or rear swaybar on the car right now. I really need a rear. It would help my car rotate and to keep it from oscillating so much in S turns.

About the music, I didn't do it. Trust me, I almost puked when I heard it too.

And about the rookie move every lap into turn one. My friend wanted to get some cool shots from the "cone cam" (the thing you see sticking off the right of the car behind the door). My friend wanted some good slides and I felt that would be a good area for it (nothing to hit and no one behind me "too" close).

I just got the car in October of 2003 and its only been on a track 3 times, twice at Streets of Willow (both in the rain) and once at Buttonwillow (the video). As most of you west coast guys know, Streets of Willow is a slow tight track and in the rain, even slower. So, This time with the video is the first time I've had the car at any significant speeds.

I saw you and your CRX at SoW in december . . . it was fast around that track too. I think you mentioned that this car was owned previously by Oscar Jackson right? Very nice CRX

I guess putting is a good analogy, since I think those 5' tall putters look just as silly. Still, whatever floats yer boat I guess. I won't argue with lap times.

Ya, the Dec. run at SoW was fun. We did have a little dry track time and I was runnig 1:30.flat in the dry, but I didn't have the Quaife at the time and with no rear swaybar, it would squat in the back and spin the inside really bad.
