ok now after fixing the brake lights the battery keeps dieing

the battery is a brand new optima yellow top with a brand new alt charging at 14.23 volts.


the car runs fine with no batt light or anything.
alt chrages at 14.23V but when i shut the car off the battery drains somehow

when the multi meter is hooked up you can acctuallly watch it drain by droppin 1 hundreth every few seconds.


any idea as to what could be causing this drainage?

start pulling fuses and checkin if its still draining. when you pull one and it stops draining then you can look into that circuit for a short

 

could i put a test light to each fuse to see if it lights up and if so thn that could be the problem?

 

ok i used a test light and checked the fuses. i had a 30amp in the sunroof slot that lit up the test light and i don't have a sunroff so i yanked that. then the radio/clock was lit up so i yanked that but the problem still persists.

then i checked the teminal and i had put in an aftermarket batt terminal so i pulled the wire that goes to the main fuse box off. the problem stopped.

then put it back on and problem again.

so now where am i left to.... this is really making me mad....

somewhere some how in the car i am gettin a short but i still can't find it....

if anyone has been through this of has some suggestions please help.

i need all the help i can get.
