If you're going to go with R compounds, why not just put 225 Hoosiers on there?

tunershopdotcom has 225-40-14 and 255-35-14 tires. But those aint gonna fit too well on hx wheels.

the 225/45/13 A3S03 Hoosier fit on a 13 x 5" wheel... why wouldn't the 225/50/14 fit on a 14 x 5?

Actually it was the 225/50/13, but thanks for noticing. The 45 series sidewall was too stiff to mount, even by mounting guru, Hoosier Tom. You're right though, the 225/50/14 should work just fine on the 5.5" rim. In fact I think Chang Ho Kim used that set up on his GS CRX.

Who said anything about a 225/50/14??

I never said the 225/40/14 or 255/35/14 would not fit, I said they would not fit well. I'm assuming those tires listed at that site are T1Ss. Not sure though. Those are some strange sizes.
