Common reason for an AC compressor to stop working??
Hey guys, I have an issue with my AC and I was trying to get it working. I checked to see if the pulley is free flowing. It is. I can turn it very easily with my hand.
Is the common clutch going up a common reason why the compressor goes bad?? If so, what are the symptoms of a bad compressor clutch??
The guy who owned the car before me bypassed the ac compressor with a belt from a Prelude S. In the records, the mechanic just noted that he changed the belt and that the AC is no longer operable. I am trying to see if I can get it working.
I know I should just buy a new belt and test it myself but I wanted to get some background infor mation before I began to work on my car.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
