turbo isn't just a turbocharger itself, you have a bunch of hardware and computer "things" to hook up to your car.
no less than 40 pieces you have to take off for a turbo

Thanks.... I know you need intercoolers, wastegate, blowoff valves, etc..... I want to know if anyone uses their turbo charged car in the winter.
many cars come stock with a turbo that are driven in the winter, why would this be any different?? the cold dry air in the winter is actually better for a turbo car than high heat and humidty.
if anything you wouldn't want to drive the car in the winter, so you don't ruin it from the salt or getting into an accident from the slippery snowy roads.

Accidents Aren't A Problem If You Know How To Drive Your Car Properly In Winter, and have Blizzak Bridgestone Tires

you can have the best snow tires in the world and be the best driver in the snow but everyone else on the road doesn't have blizzacks and not everyone can drive properly in the snow either. especially those a-hole suv/truck owners drivers who think just cause they have 4wd they are unstoppable.
i live in the NH and i have dunlops graspics, i have been driving in the snow for 9 yrs.

u dont have to worry about the turbo in the winter.......the one thing that u MIGHT worry about is if u do run a Front mount intercooler, uve got a chance of damaging it if u hit a snowbank/ice gets kicked back at you.....
oh, and fyi, b4 u turbo (let alone turbo an H22 <= not worth the effort IMO), maybe you should learn a bit more on how stuff works.....for example in ur sig, u cant use a CAI when ur turbo (unless u use it for the piping)

Anyone else notice that almost every word is capitalized in his sentence?
<-- Sorry, punctuation and spelling ****.
But yeah, If you're even contemplating taking a turbo off for the winter, you probably don't want one. It's like thinking about taking a motor swap out for a winter, it doesn't make any sense.
