Then consider this:
If you JDM front end or Carbon Fiber your hood, you wil be placed in the Street Mod class and not the G Stock class. Not that there is anything wrong with this class but you will be competing with heavily modded '76 Z's, '94 RX7's, Mustangs, T-birds, and Cobras
They may give you a bit of a challenge
-AOib0t, who is stuck in his STS class for now

Carbon Fiber hoods are the thing right now anyway. I think since the JDM is an upgrade to almost everyone anyway people usually just get the CF hood instead of OEM. I like the OEM though, .02
JDM front= unnecessary. In the same league as bodykits and rims IMO. Does it make you go faster?

its not necessary, but much rather replace damaged front end with JDM.
'damaged front end'...what happened?

get both hood.. OEM and carbon fiber..
but you might wanna wait for an accident to do one on purpose cause it will save you big bucks.. if you just want the conversion and your car is totally fine you might want to question it if its worth it.. i question myself now but its too late.. its already on the car.. i converted my r when it had 2K miles on it.
btw, its a bitch to sell the original front end unless you are willing to give it for practically free to all the lowballers out there! lol!

Definitely make sure you have an OEM hood. Most carbon fiber hoods will not fit as well as the OEM one. When I get a JDM front, I'll be getting an OEM hood. Later, as funds allow, I'll also get a Spoon hood.
yup, Spoon is the only i would use. Although I havnt seen the C-west one... but based on the quality of their kits, it might be worth a look... especially if you wanted a hoodscoop.

Nothing wrong with looking good - as long as you have the going fast part covered...

The weaves on the Cwest hood are kind of strange but it is still good quality. I kind of like the JDM front end with the CWEST fiberglass hood but I guess Im biased.
