AXELS - genuine honda recon vs. parts store recon?
the genuine honda one is an extra $100 but it comes with a 3-year warranty. any difference or should i just get the $70 one from napa?
Napa's should come with a lifetime warrenty. I know the ones I bought from Autozone have a lifetime warrenty. If they break go get new ones.

I see alot of aftermarket ones making noise, but that doesn't hurt anything.

hey thanks a lot for all your help and replies, guys! i think i'm going to just go with the napa part. and just about any recon would be a honda part, just recon'd by someone else, right?
Aftermarket rebuilt axles are hit and miss at best. The biggest problem I've seen is a vibration under load. This could range anywhere from barely noticeable (except to me...I pick up on little irritating crap like that all the time) all the way up to ripping your powertrain out of the car while you're trying to merge on the highway.
If you don't mind spending the extra cash and you really don't want to waste your time with warranty parts (time is money, right?), go with OEM rebuilds.
If you don't mind pulling axles out, go with the cheaper part and take advantage of the warranty. Since axle are relatively heavy and because they have a core charge, online ordering probably isn't a viable option if money is a concern. You could spend 3X the cash if you're stuck with your local dealer...Ouch! I'm glad I get a discount
