Default Rings?

hey guys, was just wondering. is it possible just to hone and replace rings if they're bad?
or do i need to replace pistons too?
if i had the $$ i would, but i don't lol

im replacing just the rings on my car i dont see why there would be a problem unless something is wrong with your pistons?

Usually, you replace pistons when you oversize the cylinders and such.

if the pistons are good, just get new rings and bearings and put them in after honing... that's what I'm doing
