Default Hey quick Accord brake swap question, please help!!!!

What's up u accord guys? I really have a civic, but i'm researching this for a friend of mine. He has an 01 accord DX. He wants to swap out the rear drums to discs. I did a search but didnt really find what I was looking for.

1) Will 98-01 Accord V6 5 lug fit? (He may want to do 5 lug conversion)
2) Are the front rotor and calipers for this DX the same as all 98-01 accords, such as LX and EX models? (So he may not have to change out the fronts, and keep the 4 lug pattern)
3) Will the ones from the 97+ preludes fit?

If anyone knows, thanks in advance

to do the 5 lug and rear disc swap, just use the entire AV6 suspension. For just the rear swap, use the discs from an EX or SE.

The front setup is different between 4 cyl and V6.

Prelude will not work. Get the stuff of of a 98-01 Acura 2.2CL or see if one of the other Acura cars has the same suspension. I know that 90-97 Accords you can use 90-97 Acura 2.2CL suspension components because the suspension between them are identical. They take the Accord and add stuff to it (luxury stuff) to get the Acura version.

Yeah, I know that this swap can be done with older accords, but there is no info when it comes to the 6th gen. I'm looking into the V6 accord (6th gen) but since I don't want 5 lugs in the back, I don't know what to do.

I wish someone who has done this swap on a 6th gen accord would reply. Thanks for the replies though.

Just use the rear assembly that you find in a junkyard from an EX or SE with rear disc. It will be the same procedure as the any rear disc swap.

The whole suspension for 6th gen 4cylinder should be almost the same(except spring rate, etc)

dx, lx, se shares the same size front rotor and rear drum.

ex got a shiny rear disc

all v6(ex, lx) got bigger brake parts.(5lug)

you might want to look for tl-s cl-s parts too(5 lug)
