? about d16z6 tranny(s20)
would anyone know where i can get good info on the tranny stated above.....i want to clean and rebuild it my self since the syncros are bad and not sure about the gears.

Helms Factory Service Manual - you can buy a new one, or look around an find an online copy.
You are probably not dealing with syncros - more than likely you have a broken 1-2 shifter fork.
