Default turboing a accord

hey....i got a 97 accord with a f22b1 engine which is 2.2L 145HP. I'm was thinking about getting a H22 swap but heard that just turboing it would be the better. My car is an automatic so do u think I would be better off going with turbo or the H22 swap?

Turbo would be nice on that motor (8.5:1 CR), turbo loves lower CR's.

.....but the auto tranny may not like it.

For some "get up and go", get a H23 swap.
For all out power, get a H22 swap.

BTW, are you staying with the AT, or going with a MT swap?

the f22b1 will be aight with the boost but your auto tranny won't like it. You will make more hp than the h22 but only with the right stuff and good tunning. i say get an h22 and boost it

first thing first, a h22 with accord 5speed tranny is crappy enough(for NA), let alone auto accord long gear ****.

even with the h22, the car aint that much faster neither.

it wouldnt have an accord 5 speed. because he would be replacing his auto tranny. the package comes with a prelude 5 speed. and after you get that in the car you start to mod the engine. cams, pulleys, pistons and such.

Cars: JDM 92-96 Prelude VTEC

Mileage: 28,000-45,000 miles

2157cc (DOHC VTEC)

Horsepower: 200hp@6800rpm

Torque: 161lbs-ft@5500rpm

Compression: 10.6:1

Bore: 87mm

Stroke: 90.7mm

OBD: 1

Redline: 8200rpm
and then when you went to turbo it just make sure you tune everything right
