HID bulbs?

are all HID bulbs the same? will any HID bulb fit into a BMW projector? or does it have to be from a BMW? thanks

no not all hid bulbs are the same. all OEM bulbs are either D2S for projector style headlights, and D2R for reflector stlye headlamps. all OEM bulbs are rated at 4100K as well and use either philips bulbs or osram bulbs. philips bulbs are said to be brighter then Osram bulbs. most hid kits are not even D2S or D2R. i can get D2S bulbs for kinda cheap compared to most ebay actions. if anybody needs a new set of D2S bulbs please PM me or email me for a price.
