Default skunk2 im and stg 2 cams???

Do i need a header or a bigger exhaust system with it or would these work fine with a stock gsr with an intake (aem cai)???
If i need exhaust/cat what size piping do i need.
If i had the money I would get JDM header, comptech exhaust, with the im and cams but i only have 1400 to spend.

thanks

I wouldn't spend the money on Stage 2 cams now nor the manifold until you have things that would require them.

From your post, I'm assuming that your pretty much stock. I would start with I/H/E. If I had 1400, I would get an ITR header, any aftermarket exhuast, and may be ITR cams or save another couple hundred and go turbo.

im still on a stock exhaust manifold with skunk2 stage 2's.

I plan on getting an an-r header very soon though and i have an itr i/m in the mail.

u really need to let the motor breath more to capitalize on the stage2 camshafts, but ull still feel a power gain from swappin them in.

after u finish basic bolt ons the cams will reach their full potential.

Skunk2 stage 2 cams without compression and tuning to back them up? Doesn't sound like a good idea. Don't start a project unless you're ready to do it right. When you go with bigger cams, both tuning and compression is a must. And generally all the bolt-ons should be done prior to that.

Well said.

I'd go with a Comptech header, or if you have money, something a little crazier.
