msd rpm switch for vtec, what voltage does the solenoid need?

90 hf, single cam vtec motor, want to send out the correct voltage so as not to fry the solenoid. thanks.

12V+. I'm sure you're familiar with how to set it up but this will make it quick. Off the MSD RAS red = 12V+, black = ground, white = rpm signal, yellow to the 85 pole on a standard relay. Run another switched 12V+ source the relay's 30 and 86 poles (85 and 86 can be vise versa, it really doesn't matter). Then run 87 out to the VTEC solenoid. The VTEC solenoid doesn't pull a ton of current either but be careful what you get your switched power from.
