jack, half, or intermediate shaft?
I need to know what the exact diameter of the jack shaft (the part that the seal is pressin agianst) is.
The reason why is because the first time i had it in it was on a very slight angle and ended up busting the outside of the differential. Now i have a new tranny and the same jack shaft (yes this one is in striaght) ive went through 3 seals and cant get it to seal, it drips about every3 seconds when the motor is warm, so im thinking that the part that the seal goes around most of wore down a little.
So if any one has a jack shaft around could you messure the part that the seal is pressin agianst for me? The easiest way to do it would probaly be to wrap a shoe string or someting around it and then messure the string.
Thanks
