Koni yellow's with custom rate GC's are a proven setup. Plus you can go as stiff as you want, and its more affordable than a full adjustable coilover setup.

some people argued over this topic recently in this thread.
I would go with custom rate GCs and Koni's, its a very flexible setup. I have Tein SS coilovers, and it is okay, but I wouldnt describe it as stiff without body roll.
Tanabe Sustec Pros are pretty crazy if you want something really stiff.

if money was no object i would get the JIC FLTA2-RS... it's custom rate to what you want like GC's... but if money was, i'd get the GC with koni's... i myself, is planning to get some GC with custom rates and koni yellows... correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think there's any difference with sleeves compare to threaded body shocks

we'll you could just fit the gc's on the koni seats, but cant lower as much cause the cup's in the way, to make it look and ride like a full body coilover, gc's sell an adapter that sits on the koni rings, cost like an extra $100
selling this set for $565 shipped....comes with the energy urethane bushing on top cup

What spring rates are the people that have the Koni/GC setup going with? GC reccomended 400/300. I have Koni's right now with Comptech springs and want to go with a custom GC.
Has anyone revalved their Koni's after getting the GC's, and how low are you guys going?

yellow koni, I have to loosen the dampening, so the ride is not as ruff, but once you tighten them the car doesnt squat at all for strip/street. with the collar you could lower the car to the ground...

So you like it or is it to harsh? How low are you set right now and what are your Koni's set at?

The car is my daily driver. Used to autox and HPDE with it (hopefully i'll get back into it.) I have no complains on track or street. I'm lowered about 2 inches. This is on a 92.

No it doesn't, regular GC's are $299 and Koni versions are $339.
Actually GC now makes 2 different sleeves for Koni shocks. This one sits on the snap ring like in your pic:

And this one fits over the entire shock:

indeed, my Konis were 500 alone, 2 years ago... I might consider those longer sleeves when I switch my springs out for GC's, I'll have to call them up and see about them.
koni yellows
ground controls
comptech sway bar tie bar combo
or
itr sway bar with mount kit.
sway bar is the main thing that will reduce body roll.
ps I always believed skunk2 coil overs were more for track and gc/koni yellows were more for street because of how they rode. the skunk2 set-up is way stiffer.

maybe stiffer than the Special Edition GC's, but you can get springs for GC's that are alot stiffer than what comes w/ the S2's.
And IMHO the way the GC sleeves mount up to the Koni shocks 0wnz
all other sleeve-type coilovers.

I totally agree with patrick on this topic. gc's are worth every penny. I don't believe the springs/struts no matter what combo are the only thing you should do to the car to remove body roll. When I changed mine out it was like night and day. I love my set-up.

This is the most important question.
IMO, if Im spending $800 on a setup, Im getting full coilovers that were designed as one unit. Unless you want custom rates that no other coils offer, I dont see the point in going GC/Koni.
