Default Stock 2000 Civic Si

I have a 2000 Civic Si, which is completely stock. I'd like to do some work to it. Any advice on where to start first? Exhaust, intake, etc? I'm a rookie at tuning, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Depends on what you're looking for. Speed, handling, looks... what?

Good point! Engine performance mods first, before handling.

you should start with the suspension first, before you start engine bolt-ons...

Probably mild to begin with, as I have to spend $ on my house this spring. Also, this is my daily driver & I'm not looking to take it to the track or anything...just bump up the performance, maybe do exhaust for a nicer sound (aggressive, but not obnoxiously loud), etc.

if you want performance gains, I would do the basic intake, header and exhaust combination. comptech makes good intakes and headers. that should make a little difference. then if you wanna step it up a notch, you can get an intake manifold and throttle body. all this together should make quite a difference.

as far as suspension, I would get a set of coilovers such as ground control or skunk2, and a good set of shocks like koni yellows or tokico illumina's.
