If you have a spring that is not compressed (i.e. GC's) then you can change it by just lifting the car. Just need some small nose pliers.
I've done it. Why? If you have GC's you want to keep the point of contact as close to the bottom of the spring as you can so you might want to adjust the perch when you change heights.
