Default Will this ECU work?

I am putting in a manual transmission in my 95 accord, and I understand that the ECU is different than an auto...
The problem I am having is no one has an ECU for manual 95.
But, the question is: Can I use a manual ECU out of a 96 for my year?
Cause I did find one of them...
And if not, does anyone have one available?

i think in order to use the 96 you need to convert the car to obd2.

look for a 94, there should be plenty for 94-95 years. STAY away from OBD2 if ya got OBD1(which is what u are).

yeah what he said keep it obdI, there is no point in going w/ a 96-97 obdII ecu when ur shizzle is obdI

with the auto to manual swap ive read there is a way to wire up the auto ecu so that it thinks that its always in gear, but im not quite sure how to do it.

i was wondering if there would be any downside to running a p28 ecu on a f22 since p28's are much more abundant?

Have you tried using a 5spd with the auto ECU yet? If it's like the civic (WHICH IT'S NOT, because the Accords have a separate TCM to control tranny functions-- at least the 90-93 does, and all integra autos do too), then the worst that will happen is that the car will run fine but have a code 19.

The code 19 appears on the auto P28s after swapping to 5spd because it's looking for a tranny solenoids that aren't there. Good thing is that the P28 auto ecu can be changed to a 5spd by pulling 2 resistors and adding a jumper. I've never seen a procedure for accords.

The BEST case scenario is that there will be no check-engine codes, and the car will run exactly as it should.

If I were you, the ECU would be the last thing I'd do. It's the easiest part, plus you don't get greasy. And an irrelevent CEL won't keep you from driving the car in the meantime. My brother's been driving his Civic with a code 19 for 8 months...
