Ive searched the archives, but noone had pictures of it installed in thier cars. Im really curious to what it looks like because the kits ive seen covers up the ugly grey part of the dash in the car. So any pics are greatly appreciated. thanks.

They used to make an overlay years ago, when the 92-95 first came out. It was a complete, molded piece that fit directly over the gray piece, with holes cut out for the switches, stereo, etc. Haven't seen them for the longest time.
I know there's still dash kits available, that lay over the gray piece, window switches, around the shifter, etc.

 

I don't like the carbon fibre, i was hoping for a brushed steel or aluminum look. I don't think anyone sells just the one piece.

 

what is the purpose of a cf dash?

 

Its really only for looks, but back to the main question, does anyone have a pic of it installed in there eg?

yea cuz we all know how heavy plastic is so we need to replace that instead of the 85lbs hood and bumper support ....well i wasted time and bandwith on this post

Actually the part that I mentioned being produced some years ago, saves no weight at all, it actually fits over the factory gray dash piece, probably adds a few ounces. He asked, I answered.

I know what you mean, I've been looking EVERYWHERE for this. It rounds the edges and everything. If any know, Please pm me and let me know.

 

who the hell cares......carbon fiber isn't like the tightest thing on earth..half the amount of money you wasted shaving 1.7 pounds of your car could have shaved 1.7 seconds off your quarter mile..

I think everyone in this thread including myself want it for the looks. By the way to everyone else, i like the whole cf dash replacement thing, but for me i just want the kit that goes around the door levers, shifter, ect. but thanks everyone

 

I've seen it before, I actully have a freind, who had has his freind make it for him. To me it looks OK. A little on the flashy side. But i'll see if I can take a pic of it for you.
