Default HELP! air conditioner [a/c] doesn't work.

ok i have 94 LS and my air conditioner does not work . i turn on the air, press the a/c button, it lights up, but the fan doesnt turn on. i took a look at some connections and they seem to be fine. your help is appreciated.

Okay, make sure you have the blower speed on at least 1-2-3-4, hit the button, let me know if your engine fan comes on....if you can't hear it, you should see a slight change in the RPM. This way, I'll know if the switch works. Besides that...if the engine fans come on...but no cold air, Make sure the AC compressor is hooked up, and that the belt is there. If they are there, and the compressor comes on, and no cold air...you need a re-charge.

nope, the fans do not turn on. the normal air works when i put it on 1/2/3/4, but not the a/c fans.

make sure the ac belt is still on the pulley

the A/C belt has nothing to do with the A/C fans coming on...I think there is a problem with the switch. Whether it be in the one inside the car, or another switch under the hood, or a loose connection, I can't be sure. I would try to see if there is juice going to whatever that switch goes to that runs to the A/C fans...Seek further help, I'm no longer of use lol.
