i have a 91 accord lx... today at a stop light i looked down and saw my tach jump like 200-300rpms, without the motor actually revving, thats the only time i've seen it do that... and after i left my car sit all night, it seems to turn over a couple extra revolutions before starting..like it winds over 2 or 3 times starts....well over night it'll take like 4 or 5 till it starts... it used to only do that when i was almost out of fuel..but today it did that only its at 3/4s tank.. another thing, i sit still, revv up to 1500rpms, and it seems to have an intermittent miss to it, not certian if its a miss or not, but im pretty sure. took the cap off today, saw a little bit of corision... nothing to bad, the cap and rotor look fairly new...replaced the ignitor about a year and a half ago... any thoughts anyone? i'm wanting to get some input, because i dont want to take a trip to ohio and end up getting stranded because my ignitor went or something. thanks all...

 

When was the last time you did a tune up? Symptoms sound like a problem with the spark side of things, i.e. - rotor, cap, wires, plugs, etc.
