Limited edition acura GS, any info??
I'm looking at buying a limited edition acura GS. I didn't even know they made a GS. Is there a different engine in the GS then there is in the LS/RS?? All I know that is different from the RS/LS is that it has leather interior, alloy wheels, and thats about it. The car is a 1996, dark red, has 102,000 miles on it, 5 spd, and they want $6500. Does this sound about right? It has no mods at all. This engine is non-vtec, correct? Anything I should look for since it is a 2 hr. drive away. How is the leather interior on these, any problems with them cracking and getting nasty? Its got a tan like brown interior if that helps at all.
its not really a limited edition. well, limited to the amount sold. they had a special edition version of the GS. but, yes...the options you listed would be correct. it is a little pricey. but, sounds like a great car from your description.
i have an 00' gs and its basically an ls with leather and a cd player and a sunroof (idont kno if lses have sunroofs) there also is a special edition (SE) my freind has the foor door and thats just a teg with wood finish and like automatic seats. with that amount of miles 6500 seems a lil high but thats just my opinion
The GS should have a non-vtec B18 like the LS/RS (or at least I'm pretty sure). My '93 has a leather interior and if you leave it in the sun, it cracks and gets nasty, but if you take care of it, it's some good stuff. You can see the difference between the driver's and passenger's seats in my car lol. It might be priced a little high, but if thats the car you want, then by all means go for it.

yea...if you could get them down to low 5k's that would be a good deal

Hmmm, buying from a private dealer, kelly blue book lists it as $5100. Buying from a dealer it would book around $7200. I'll try and see if he'll go down to $5500. Its been on the lot since fall, though, makes me wonder?? Plus it has no warrenty, eventhough its a repair shop selling it.
I'm not sure about this whole leather interior thing, I wasn't able to sit in it so I'm not sure if they are as grippy as I'd like them to be. Although if they are anyrhing like the S2000 leathers I'll be happy as hell!!! Maybe I'll drive the 2 hours to test drive it.

Leather seats dont grip. You slide all over in leather. Although Integra seats so have much better side support than a lot of cars. Not quite like an s2000 though
My car has the tan leather... but I know it would be much better in all black. All except for sitting on the hottest thing in the world when you leave it in the sun.
