2nd Annual Dyno Day / BBQ - CJ Motorsports - What do you guys think?
Our last dyno day was over a year ago, 2 Novembers ago I think.
We are now moved into our new shop, and we are almost done building our new dyno lab. The new shop is in West Chicago, IL... about 5 minutes north of the last location. Just off the intersection of Kirk Rd and Fabyan Parkway.
The last dyno day(s) was pretty kick ***, and I would like to do another one, partially to help pay back the $9,000 it cost me to move the dyno, put it in the ground, and build the dyno lab. The Honda-Tech / ITR Community was very respectful last year, and I look forward to the return company.
So its time for the 2nd annual CJ Motorsports / Honda-Tech Dyno Day / BBQ.
As last time, we will be providing free food and drink to all that show up, even the bums who dont dyno! I thought it was a great time, and I can only imagine how much more fun it must have been for those who didnt have to climb up and down the dyno like a monkey for 12 hours straight!
The kick *** MR2 that was hanging out unfinished last year is in storage, but I do have a cool twin turbo 350z for you guys to check out, and my new civic hatch race car that I have been building since last fall.
If I can get 10 verbally commited dyno users, then this is a go.
We will not be able to do any hardcore tuning, just simple V-AFC stuff or what not, anything you think you can do quickly. Nothing that can remain on the dyno for too long tho as we need to get everyone in on just 1 day this time.
What I would like to do for pricing is a little different this year. I would like to get $80 for 6 runs including free wideband dataloging and printouts of each run. The time consuming part is setting the cars up, thats why I just went up to 6 runs to give you guys more runs while your car is on the machine. I can only allow light tuning tho, something that can be done shortly inbetween runs. My standard price is $100 w/ wideband for 3 runs, so your getting $20 off and 3 more runs. Light tuning assistence is also free, so there is no labor charge for our help tuning.
I dont think I even need to say this, cause you guys were totaly straight last year... BUT... any drugs or alchohol or anyone who shows up obviously trashed will be turned over to the authorities without warning.
I want you guys to pick the date and let me know if this is going to be a go or not. If I can just get 10 guys commited we can do it. I want to start the day early and stay until you guys are bored. Last time it was snowing, this year we shouldnt have to deal with that, making it a cooler enviroment to just hang out.
I apologize that the price has gone up about $15, however this building costs me over twice as much to be in as that last one, so I have no choice. I hope that you guys will find it worth the money.
So please give me a
or a
and pick the day that works best for you, no sooner than March 24th.
