Default My convertible civic project!

I'm just kidding, my freakin sunroof glass flew off on the freeway! WTF! Luckily there wasn't a car behind me. Anyone been through this and how much it will cost to get a replacement glass?

I bought a piece of glass for my DA from a guy on G2IC. It was around $85 shipped. Check out the classifieds here first; most salvage yards will only want to sell you the entire sunroof assembly (glass, motor, tracks, etc.).

You could try an auto glass place, but I doubt they will cut a piece of glass for you...

Just on the freeway on my way to work all of sudden I hear this loud *** noise. Pulled over and the sunroof glass is missing

A buddy of mines is trying to find me a replacement right now. I guess a warning to those with sunroofs to check that the sealant isn't worned out or something.

I would think the adhesive use to attach the glass to the sunroof assembly deteriorated over time. Whoever installed that sunroof glass didn't install it propertly...I can imagine him using low quality adhesive which gave way over time.

Made a few calls to different independant glass installation shops. They said they're unable to replace sunroof glass. It has to be done through a dealership.
Dealership prices

Somebody help my friend out...gotta get this fixed asap. Just need the glass and a good price to install it.
