Clutch Install aftermath on a DA please HElp
I finally finished putting a clutch in for the first time and after i was done all these problems arrived and i have no idea how to fix them
problem 1 - this is probably the most annoying of the problems
the car doesnt idol good anymore it will idol at about 2,000 rpm's (which just happens to be where my exhuast rattles) when you first start it up and then after driving it for a couple of minutes when you dont have your foot on the gas it will bounce from 1,000 rpm to 2,000 rpm i researched this and found many people saying that theirs was because of loose ignitor cables but when i took the distributor cap off you cant get to the ignitor cables because the rotor is in the way and i have no idea how to remove that. I also checked to see if my ecu was throwing a code and it read code 17 (vehicle speed sensor) which brings me to my next problem
problem #2 speedometer wont work
I took it to a shop and told them to fix it and all they did was hand me a metal clip looking thing and tell me to put it on my speedometer and that will fix the problem to bad i have no idea what there talking about
Problem # 3 NO CLUTCH PEDAL PRESSURE
I tried tightening the clutch cable but when i did it starts to make a grinding sound whenever i press on the clutch pedal so i left it loose i dont understand why this is happening i replaced everything in the clutch - clutch, throwout bearing, pressure plate the only thing i left that was old in there was the pilot bearing and the flywheel but that cant be the problem can it?
thankyou and anyhelp will be GREATLY appreciated

GOnna go out on a lib for #2.
Did you by anny chance forget to plug the speedo cable or vss cable in when you but the tranny back?
For #1, I'm not sure how removign a cltuch would do this. Maybe you ddint reconnect the 02 sensor when putting the tranny back in.
To remove the rotor, take the cap off, somewhere on the rotor shaft there is a small flathead screw. Loosen it, the rotor will come off. Watch out not to strip the screw.
For #3, I need move clairification. The clutch dissengages but you ahve not pedal pressure? Could be due to a different pressure plate...a softer presure plate. Or that you ddint torque the plate down enough (but the clutch would probably slip in this case) I'd be a little concerned about a softer pressure plate as it will not clamp as much and you risk slipping more.
