Default Air bags and Modules?

My airbags have been deployed and looking to replace. I often see air bags+ module on ebay. That computer module doesnt have to be replaced after air bags have been deployed correct?

If it does then that sucks :-(

Nobody knows??

Ok somebody tell me if im right then. That "moudle" is the SRS computer and it retains all info about deployment and has all of the sensors attached to it that sense when a collision is going to occur. Just because the airbags go off doesnt meant that the computer is trash. Just hook up the airbags like normal and SRS light should go away.

Damn, i had to answer my own freakin post. Now, anybody know if im right? It does sound plausible

I would say that you sould correct. It just like the ECU searches for problems in sensors, if you install a new airbag and reset the bat, the light should go off. I just bought a 92 civic wiith a MOMO steering wheel and the airbag light was on, I replaced the wheel with a stock wheels and airbag and the light went away. hope that helps.

no you are not right. you need to replace or have the unit reset at honda. if not then the bags wont deploy again. or you can just plug the airbag plug out in the back of your cluster and the light goes away. like i did. i tell people when they get in my car that if we crash your bag wont deploy. ha ha. ride at your own risk.

I would assume that if the airbag light is off considering this is a "malfunction" light that if the airbag was unable to deploy or the unit was bad that it would the light would be on. That sounds like a malfinction to me.? The computer deploys the airbag when it recieves a certian electronic signal just like the ECU does all of its jobs by sending and recieving signals. How would deploying an airbag end the computers life? Just my thinking, don't know if it helps.

most of the time if the bags are deployed from an accident you will have to replace the airbags and the airbag sensor mounte inside the bumper as the sensor is generally a one-time useage part. the actual airbag computer itself is normally good to go.

na_95d16z6.....if you get a new wheel and take your airbag out it disables the passenger side airbag
