TO: R-SPEED & MY NY PEEPS
To all of R-Speed who were there in the very begining, I mean way back when David did the 180 on the top of the Circut City parking garage (1st meeting) and I was the only one to have a JDM conversion and there were only like 8 of us, and now to all the new members. I'M COMING HOME!
Well after 2+ years living in Indiana I am moving back to NY with my Type R. It is a little different since I left, only better. I blew the motor, cracked my block destroyed my JUN pistons and dizzy, and still made 196whp. And I got the C-West front end. Always fun.
So I bought a RTR Block and some CTR OS pistons, had everything balanced, blueprinted, clearanced and hot-tanked, bought a HONDATA S200 and did a whole bunch of other upgrades. Haven't turned the key yet but that is comming next week, keeping my fingers crossed.
I have been working as a sous chef in a resturant in IN, and now I just got a job working in a resturaunt in Tri-Beca in NYC called Walkers, down on Varick and N.Moore. I will be moving back and starting in about 2 months give or take, just in time for the summer and the track season, so please keep me informed as to future meets and events, my e-mail is droplinkitr@hotmail.com.
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL SOON

Uhh, all the Newbies are answering you.
I remember a time when R-Speed was just an idea we talked about on SHO, Dave, Me, Faust, Rob, Ray, Etc... And Damn that post became sooo friggen long. Over 1,000 posts and Mike M. when he was a mod over there kept it open for us to meet up and start our group.
Them's were the days.
I started it since I was then, in CT and just buying my first R and was moving back to NY and wanted to meet up with as many NY guys as possible. We/they did and the rest just took on a life of it's own.
Now, we don't do meet's and cruises as much. Maybe an annual BBQ, but mostly meet up at autocrosses and High Performance Driving Event's and of course to support Dave since he is now racing in the East Coast Honda Challenge series.
We've met many new faces and lost a few over time. It's an ongoing ever evolving group of people with a single origional common interest/bond, The Integra Type-R. Many of us have taken the car to the track and motorsports events and have lived and found our New love, learning to and driving it as fast as friggen possible. And many of those who found this love will never turn back.
Early Welcome back Justin, look forward to meeting you again soon.
You'll most likely get dragged onto the track in one way or another, either as a driver or a passenger. But personally I suggest driving. There is just Nothing like driving the R on a track and learning it's and your limits. Many times in the beginning your limits are before the cars.
Anton
PS, I'm an Executive Chef in Westchester. When we meet again we'll talk shop and if you need any help or whatnot we can discuss.

There is a passage in the Bible where it talks about a son who leaves for awhile (for various not so good reasons
) but then decides to return home and is welcomed home by his Father.... Justin.... welcome home...we'll be waiting when you make it back east.
I have been asking about you, didn't see your website, so figured your shop closed down, etc. etc. A LOT has happened since you left. R-speed has grown...as Anton explained. Don't worry, you will start seeing some emails and will get back in the loop soon. Check your box.

Don't hate the playa, hate the game...I swear more people on the street looked at me when we all rolled out and gave me an "admiration" look.
