they look like volk group n-rs. at the angle the pic was taken at looks like there are ridges on the spokes and the spokes don't come out far enough as the nrs's do. any better pics?

Not Nrs's. Those have a groove on the spokes. They did make several diff. types of nrs's though, just not sure on how many.

they might be some velox knock offs of the nrs painted red/gray. it looks similar in the outter ring where the spokes meet the lip
