why?? sohc vtec is almost worthless anyways. if you have a moonroof and stock honda alloy wheels you have an EX.

the VTEC engages when ever its needed. I will engage anywhere from 3000 on up. the car is setup for economy so the VTEC comes on depending on how hard you push the car. You'll only feel the real pull of VTEC with a DOHC engine. take a ride in a lude, a teg or something with a DOHC. there is a huge difference between our engine and a DOHC. their is a definate engagment point on their engines.

...and leather.
not necessarily leather... leather was optional for EX 4-bangers...
vtec will kick in as low as 2300, depending on conditions... say like rolling starts in 2nd gear with maybe 50% throttle... but generally vtec engagement varies between 2300 and 3800.

that would make it an EX-L according to a honda invoice. the EX V6s are what came with std leather.
