Default What RPM to shift at on stock tach

From reading the boards it looks like the stock tach is off by 400 RPM. So if the redline is 7400 should I wait until the tach needle reads 7800 to shift? I usually shift just past redline like at 7500.

i shift at 8K on the tach, more or less. i'm not ever paying much attention to it when i'm close to redline anyway, there's probably something like a cone or a rumblestrip i ought to be looking at.

if i shift at redline using my stock tach i am right at 7k to 7100 rpms via the vafc. which is roughly where the h22's power peaks.

I shift exactly at the redline on a stock tach. Once in a while I passed the redline.

just expirament as to where you have to shift to stay in vtec in the next gear, that way you dont go higher than you need to since ur not at peak power during that time....
