Weirdest Idle ever!!!!
Car: Jdm H22 equipped EK hatch
Problem: Ok so heres the deal. While driving my car, i take the car out of gear and let the car cruise to a stop in neutral. at this time, the cars rev's stay at around 1400-1500 rpms. Now, when i come to a COMPLETE stop, the rpms will drop to the normal Idle that is set (1000 rpms - I had to set it this high... long story). Im not sure why the car stays at such a high rpm while cruising but i really mean that the rpms wont drop unless i am not moving at all! Heres where it gets even weirder... If i am driving with the headlights on, and the heat on with the rear defroster... If i go to put my windows down (i have power windows) then bring them back up, the car will rev up to around 1400-1500 rpms and hold there while at a stop, in neutral. now, if i turn off the headlights, rear defrost, or heat completely then turn it back on the rpms will drop back down to 1000.
I dont even know where to begin. I know its electrical, i just dont know where to start. any help would be appreciated

I have an H23 and mine does the same thing sometimes as far as not going down until I come to a stop....I wouldn't really worry about that one too much...
Make sure all your grounds are sanded down to the metal....you also may need to adjust the TPS...

I was leaning more towards it being the tps. Ill get my voltmeter out and have a look to see what its reading. if im not mistaken, its supposed to be 4.5volts at idle and 6 volts at WOT? it doesnt really worry me, its just one of those things that if you're having a bad day and it starts idling funky it puts you in an even worse mood

a little update to my wierd problem. I definitely think it is an electrical problem now because when it rained hard yesterday out of nowhere my idle stick btween 2200-2700 untill i came to a Complete stop. after the car dryed overnight the idle went back to its normal 1500rpm idle until stopped.
I cleaned out the iacv which was pretty dirty but apparently did nothing as far as fixing the problem. my next step is to check the voltages on the tps sensor. also could someone just confirm its 4.5volts idle, 6volts wot ???
thanks
