Guess who was Cone King of the day with 9 total cones? I don't know whether to blame myself, or the 195/65-15 Michelins that came with my car that I used for the first time

The guy who usually takes pics wasn't there (Chris Cornwell http://www.corndesigns.com/pho...cat=5), so all I have are shots from the 1st 3 Heats out of 4, taken by 2 different people

How did the Geo do, and what class is it in.

 

First, let me say that this was the first time I've autocrossed on my piece-of-crap OEM 195/65-15 michelins that came with the car.

I got the award for cone king of the day (9 cones total), and I don't know whether to blame the tires, or me braking too late (I was braking hard+late). I had 0 DNFs and placed 7th out of 9

That being said, <U>The Suzuki Swift 1.3L</U> ran in HS and beat me by over 2 seconds; 5th out of 7th!!!

I feel your pain. I too did my first (several) autocross on stock Michelins, V4s if I remember correctly. They were the worst tire I have ever had on my car.

For future reference, you might want to pick out the top 5 pictures or so to post. I am thankfull you did not go as far as to post the "driving to" and "pictures of the Burger King after the autocross" pictures.

Also, why was this post bumped after two days? If no one posts it's because no one has anything to say, if you wanted some kind of feedback propose some kind of question. If you were just hunting for the mindless "good job" replies, here it is:

And yes, it was 76 degrees with a mild breeze. Central TX is a nice place to race.

lol, I jsut posted everything i had in my directory. I would have posted pics of both you and Greg, but Chri William's Pbase gallery doesn't allow hotlinking

 

O it was a Suzuki. that other 10 HP on its 4 cyl really help. Just for the hell of it, Iam going to try autocross with my Geo. Maybe it will be less then a $1000 a weekend.
