Default exhaust resonator?

I am planning to remove my exhaust resonator or replace it with a bigger one because my exhaust piping diameter is around 2.25 while the resonator is a lot smaller so the piping to connect the resonator to the piping is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch smaller.... do you think it will yeild power?.. and is it legal in cali? my mods are CAI, DC headers Trust exhaust and an 80 shots of Nitrous.... any one had any experience on this???

I personally have never heard an exhaust with the resonator removed, but from what I hear, it sounds like crap. With the mods you have, I don't think it'll make that much of a difference. Maybe a few hp (like 5, if even?)

If anything, replace it with another resonator.

A mod'd exhaust (cat-back) is legal as long as it isn't too loud (95 db) From the cat-back, exhausts don't have anything to do with emissions. Just noise. With your resonator gone though, you might be over 95db
