has anyone with a stock b16a motor ever beaten a stock 88 GTI 16v??? ive been hearing this from all my friends saying that the golf can beat any SI civic, because the golf has the low end torque advantage....and the SI's power range only kicks in at high RPM's. we argue about this all the time, can someone please explain how vtec is superior to anything that vw has ever made in a 4 cyl?
