as the title states, would shocks that say they are for a crx also fit on a hatch? thanks

Short answer:
Yes.

Longer answer:
Yes, front shocks for 88-91 Civic hatches and CRX's are the same. Rear shocks for 88 Civic hatches and CRX are the same. While rear shocks for 89-91 Civic hatches and CRX's are the same (but different from the 88's).

The rear shock difference has to do with the rear LCA design on 88 vs 89-91. Stamped steel/box'ed style rear LCA (88) has the rear shock mounting inside it. Whereas shocks have a fork type of mount for the cast style rear LCA (89-91)

So the shocks in that listing (AGX's for 89-91) will fit what's listed in your sig. Assuming you haven't swaped your rear LCA's.
