205/50/15 on 5th gen EX 7 spoke wheels?
will these tires fit? they are only 5.5 inches wide so its like stretching the possibility... im just wondering if anyone has had this size of tire on this wheel before or any 5.5 inch wide wheel for that matter. thanks guys.
Yes they will fit fine...I was running 205/55/15 on my EX rims. No problems at all. I would recommend 205/55/15 rather then 205/50/15 cuz 50 looks small on a Accord. Lates

i had 205/50's on those wheels and they:
1) didn't wear correctly no matter what....even with max air pressure, not right
2) tended to roll a bit more than they should but the wheel is on the thin side for this size tire
3) got my 195/55's on the other day and they're MUCH better...feel better, should wear better, etc

those are small too. 205 55 15s is the correct size.

closest thing to my original size was a 195/55.....and the width is more important in this case.....that's the reason a 205/anything will hang over a LOT more than it should......i tried the 205's because i wanted to put as much rubber as possible on the road because traction in first/second was hard to come by....those helped, but cornering suffered......the tire has to roll because it's so much wider than the wheel.....that ATE IT UP fast too......perfect alignment too, did it myself (yes, done a few over the past 7 years)......it works, isn't at all dangerous, but i'm much happier with 195/55/15's....my stock size was 185/70/14 and a 195/55/15 is nearly the same.....a 205/50 is nice and close to it too, but when you factor in the way it sticks out a bit more since the wheel isn't technically wide enough, and the way it will squat a bit more, the 195/55/15 is still the closest.....

i understand what you mean about the 205s being wide and rolling, but that's where the tire spec sheet comes into play. not every 205 55 15 tire has the same section width. my dunlop fm901s that are 205 55 15 are narrow and fit much better than my dunlop sp5000s did that were also 205 55 15. one reason for choosing the 901s was from tireracks spec sheet that gave me the section width.

The kuhmos for ~40 a tire and they decent rating too. Right now I have 195/60/15 and they sit pretty well and handle pretty well (I have yokohama all season tires for snows
) But come summer time I am gonna get 205/55/15 711's

I have 205/55/15 tires on my 93 prelude SI rims, and I haven't had any problems besides the tire rubbing the control arm when i turn the steering wheel all the way to one side. NOt much of a big deal imo, since I can still manage to parallel park without turning the wheel all the way.
