quick question, any reason the block guard is at the same heigh as the deck? I've heard that it should be pushed down slightly, so water can fill a little at the top. Also, when it goes down about a half inch, it rests on pieces of metal(for lack of a better description). This prevents it from sinking all the way, but I doubt these things would ever move because they fit quite snug. on the whole build looks badass...

man when that blockguard was being placed in it was so hard to get down much more than what you see. there are grooves in it that allows for the coolant.

Sweet, I like. But where the rest of your mods in your list? Like your turbo parts?

jmagner- It looks like he has a STR blockguard in there and they say it should be tapped in a 1/8th of a inch down the water jacket.

If he's posting in the FI forum, I'd think its a turbo build up. I dont get why it wasn't sleeved however. I'd think after all those parts + trouble, you may as well start with a solid foundation.

Yeah the GE blockguard required alot of filing before it had a tight fit with slight tapping.
