If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

why do you want a red header ?
I guess you could always buy one and have it powder coated red. I don't know how it would look or hold up, but you could try i guess.

aftermarket head gaskets can raise or lower compressions by a few tenths. Thats what thier mainly used for.

oh, and I've heard alot of horror stories with goin with a Thinner headgasket (2 or 1 layer). Like the guy said... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Your stock Headgasket should be fine.

Unless you significantly raise your compression, like I did. But that's a different story.

An entirely red engine bay will suck ***. Seriously. You need pieces of contrast to make it look good. Chrome, whatever... entirely red will overwhelm the person seeing the engine and everything will blend together.

And no, no-one makes a red header.

ive h been told powder coating will not hold up to the heat of the header.
and also everybody tells me you want contrast in colors. it probably looks better to everyone else but personaly i think it would be awesome to make it all red. and if people dont like it ill understand but im not gonna make my engine with different colors just so it looks good to other people.
