Default Integra ???? help I tried seraching....

ok I'm looking at gettign a a1992 integra. I know it's got a B18a motro in there now.

92 they switched to Obd1, correct?

What about transmission... is it a hydro in teh 92?

It's agot a few miles on this car, and Ican get a 94 B18b pretty cheap... can I just bolt it up and go?

92-95 integras are obd1 as far as i know.

i think in 94 is when they switched to a hydro tranny versus the cable tranny. [i think]

IMO, i dont think theres a benefit to swapping to the b18b..i could be wrong.

I can get a 94 B18b with ecu for like $300 so I guess I coudl just use my existing tranyn and plug in the 94 OBD1 ecu. I get like 10 more HP. but I was just preparing myself incase I need a new motro.

if you need a new motor, then yea thats cool with the swap..if not, that 10 HP is really nothing.

integras up to 93 came with a cable tranny, you'd have to swap tranny if you want to use the 94 b18b.

the only difference is the flywheel so you dont need the other b18b tranny
it bolts right up.
but if you are using a obd1 ecu on obd0 car you need the jumper
harness
and the obd1 distributor plus removing the injector resistor box.

I'm currently tearing down a 93 and there is nothing OBD on it. Someone on this site told me it was OBD. It does have a different distributor though.

I've been trying to find out if anyone knows anything about the EGR valve on the intake manifold of the 93. Is the EGR something Honda added in 92-93 or did all automatics (90-93) have them?

I want to use the 93 head on my 91(no EGR).

right.
90-91 obd 0
92-93 obd1
all g2's are cable trannys. you know all b series trannys bolt up to b series blocks, but you dont want to use the hydro from the 94. conversion kits are expensive it they even make them.

so the 94 b18b will bolt directly in the 92 using the 94 ecu and the 92 cable tranny.all the electronics and stuff should be the same since its all obd1

I am guessing that you have an EK civic??? If so, just put that b18b in that car and say to hell with the teg

well I got a an EK civic with JDM B18c-r in there. I'm just confused about the cable and OBD1 issue. The teg is for my girlfriend, has a bunch of KM's on it. So I was just preparing myself for if I had to do an engien swap that's all.

And it'sbeen confirmed. 92-93 are OBD1. and the cable tranny will both up to the 94 B18b.

Thanks guys!

92 teg is obd1, they dont have a hydro tranny, you have to adjust the clutch by turning this small ***.
