Default 35mm freeze plug seems a little big for a B16A PCV hole

I expected at least a portion of it to go in when it tap it initially with a small hammer, but it just doesn't settle so I can hit it harder. Would 34.6mm really make that much of a difference? Guys at the auto parts store just ask me what kind of car it's for and have no way of looking up that size. Does anyone have a part number or company name?

I believe it is 34.3, I am not sure though. The bag is at home. If you search for "catch can" there is a post where I posted the size I used for my B16A...HTH

Thanks for telling me, I appreciate it. You are right. Most people say 34.3mm, but I was under the impression that the Dorman 34.22mm (34.3) was for LS, and 34.6mm (35?) is for the VTEC blocks. I searched for Dorman, and even used the part number in one of the threads you're talking about (555-something) until 3am last night and couldn't find a web site or listing of their products. I don't mind using 34.3mm, but someone mentioned that it slid in his block a little too easily. Will Permatex grey hold this in?

The good news is that I was able to remove those 14mm hex plugs without needing to take off the intake manifold!

Mine didn't fit all the way in. There is a lip sticking out, perfect if I ever have to remove it. I just used some RTV sealant and tapped it in. Good luck.

Thanks again for the help. Earlier today I bought a Dorman 34.3mm freeze plug and with some Permatex grey I was able to tap it in a little bit more than flush. It's just slightly below the edge. It fits well I think.
