ecu for 98 ls auto
As far as I know, NOBODY can chip a 98+ ECU. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to get any sort of chipped ECU, you'd have to buy a completely new one from a company that produces them. You best bet would be to do an OBD2 to OBD1 conversion, but for an LS I doubt it'd be worth it. Hope that helped

The 98 ls is an OBD2 car, not many people chip OBD2 if any (none that im aware of).
See the thing about chipping is it does alot if the engine is built but still running stock ECU because theres all kinds of fuel tuning that can be done be cause the engine is no longer stock so even at that just geting a chipped ECU is almost pointless since any real gains would come from custom setting fuel tables and such so right there is tells you just geting some chip put in would only be based on guess work or other LS motor/setups, not your specific car/setup and even then theres not much room to improve with a stock motor setup. Other then that the only real gains are things like a removed REV limiter or fuel cut.
You would be better off spending the money on other performance parts then trying to get a chipped ECU and if you dead bent on geting one an obd2 to obd1 harness would open up his options to alot of other chips. And then at that point you have now shelled out ofr the conversion harness and an ECU, spend the money on an exhaust if hes got one get a header if hes got that then get an intake if hes got that then start considering FI (Forced induction) or some internal mods such as cams befor you worry about your ECU.

you know how bull shity that is! I play online shooters like "RAINBOW SIX" and met one of the guys that was in the mog and he used to **** around like that to but he told me all kinds of ****. and sent me a buncah pictures of him and buddies and stuff.
Also a few month ago i hopped on yahoo and met a foo with a web cam that was in* iraq at the time, at the mosal airbase he looked up my friend for me on there service pc (i guess when on active duty there place solders can go for information) to make sure he was still alive being that the 82 sufferd so many casualty's and i couldint get any info so he hooked me up..... and luckaly hes still alive. The funny thing was according to the list my buddy was right accross the way.
