how do i go about painting my header? would i powder coat it? and if so would powedercoating hold up to the heat of the header? and can you powder coat ceramic coated stainless steel or does it have to be stainless steel? also you can take off a header without yankin the motor out right? doesnt it just need to be up on a lift?

 

Im personally not to familiar with powder coating. I know what it is, I just dont know if I would ever powder coat a header. I havent even seen that done before.

But to answer your question about "yankin" the motor, you dont have to. The only things you need to do to remove your header are romove the bolts that hold it onto the block, and either get the car on a lift (if you have one) or just jack it up and put it on jack stands. There are a couple of bolts connecting it to the cat.

 

just unbolt the top end of the header if its a 2pc. then paint that. thats the only part you see
