what do you guys think of tint? summer is coming..and i dont have AC..the least i can do is get tint to keep some of the heat out.. but it looks nice without tint..what to do..what to do.. can i see some pix?
3 of my cars I have owned have been non-tinted windows. My daily driver CRX has pretty dark 15% black tint... It's hot as hell in thre... I think you're going about it in the wrong way.
If you live somewhere where it happens to be warm year round, I would suggest tint. I live in TX, you need tint like you need insurance, it's hot all the damn time.

Does tint make it hotter inside the car or does it block some of the heat out? Im confused. I have never had tint so i have no idea.

I would do tint. Its all about what you like. Some people hate tint, but I think a car can still look clean with a tint. I have 25% all around my hatch and I love it. Keeps the sun out while preventing people from all lookin up inside my car while I pick my nose..damn..can a man pick his nose and not get dirty looks!
p.s. pick of my car is in my garage.

Theres one thing you really need to keep in mind when considering tint as a heat reducer without a/c. For the most part the windows need to be up to help keep the sun from heating up the inside. Do you want to ride around with no ac and the windows mostly up? If your on the interstate it wont be so bad....but in traffic, ugh, I'd prefer to keep the windows down and keep air moving.....just a thought.

well on my first ef i had..my car was black..as you know black absorbs all the heat, so i had tint with 14%. it helped a bit..but cop made me take off my side mirrors..so it didnt help afterwards..but it feels good to have some sort of privacy.. but as for look wise..how does it look? i like the way it looks without tint..does putting on tint throw out the look of the car? or it doesnt matter?

i second that.

tint also keeps your interior from fading due to the UV rays from the sun...personally I think it looks good on black cars (stealthy) but on other color cars I dont like it...driving at night is too dark for me in the car but then again it helps stop blinding headlights from trucks and other cars in the rear view mirror

Tint do cool the car temp. lower
But it also keep the car hotter while parking in the sun for a long time. Traps the air inside.
But when driving it's a whole lot cooler with tint.
Just my .02
