What mods to do to a 91 Accord?
I got my dad's 91 Accord LX 4 cylinder and so my dad saved quite some money by giving me his old car, anyway, he seems to be ready to put a little more money into the car so I need to some ideas.
As far as audio, I don't need subs or new speakers or a new receivers. We got some nice speakers and a new receiver for it some time back and they sound great, I'm not into big booms so a sub isn't on the priority list.
I'm 16, so he probably won't be all for performance either. I was thinking maybe something to give a smoother ride on bumpy roads, smoother/quieter ride, and some decent rims.
Right now, it has some cheap plastic rims and I'd like to get something a step up, but not very expensive or anything that would make it appear like I'm ricing this thing up. Where can I get some newer Honda rims that aren't plastic at a decent price?
What can I do about the ride to make it smoother? Is there anything I can do to make the ride quieter as well?
Also, I'm in need to new lights for this car because the front headlights are weak and my dad doesn't want me driving at night it till we get some brighter headlights.
Is there anything lots of 91 Accord owners seem to do that they are all pleased with?
Edit: This is a stick shift if that matters

ok lets see, where do we start.....my opinions only by the way.....I would first determine what kind of money you want to invest. are all the oem parts in good working condition? are you more interested in form or function? these two can take you in almost unimaginable directions both regarding money and so on. everyone will have opinions both negative and positive with respects to what he/she, you/them do modification wise....so if you are really interested, do it for yourself and for what you like. and one piece of advise you may want to consider, is to do some reading and research! this will help and save you from being flamed on our beloved H-T web site, cause this can be a tough world! welcome young apprentice.
Ok, thanks for the responses, I'm an active member on some other forums with , so I know about the whole flaming issues.
I'm looking more for a function point of view, avoiding performance directed so dad doesn't feel more nervous about me driving.
Where can I get information about parts and pricing for my car? I figured I'd ask here since this is a honda forum. Thanks :D

You could first start off doing the suspension with new springs struts or wheels, which there is a Rota sale thread in the classifieds (wheels and tires) going on right now. Try this link, http://www.shox.com/ , to get an idea of some prices for suspension parts just as a start and then search for more as you start to get a grasp on the prices and qualities.

You speak very wise young one.

Suspension and brakes first.
Go as fast as you want, but if you can't handle the next turn or stop in time, you're f*ck'd.
My recommendations:
<U>~ Suspension</U>
H&R Sport Springs (150)
Tokico N/A Shocks (300)
Suspension Technique Frotn & Rear Sway Bars (275)
DC Sports Front & Rear Upper Strut Bar (150 ea)
DC Sports Rear Lower Tie Bar (115)
<U>~ Brakes</U>
Brembo Cross-Drilled Rotors (120 pr)
AEM Brake Pads (70 set)
drums in the back? (RDC with same rotors and pads)(100)
Earl's Stainless Steel Brake Lines (115)
Maybe some seats and harnesses (Sparco)? (800)
Axle-back exhaust.....or cat-back if the motor will grow later on. (200-700)
Just a few quick options in my head right now.
