Default Fluctuating idle on 1995 accord ex

I searched the accord forum for a thread on this but I could no find one. Ever since the beginning of the winter, after I installed my intake, my idle has been fluctuating when the car first starts in the morning, or when I'm at stoplights, etc. It seems to idle between 1500 and 2000. Could this be because of the fact that one of the plugs is not plugged into my aftermarket intake? I have talked to other people that have had the same problem, and no one has come up with a solution. I know you all are very knowledgeable, so I'm hoping I can solve this problem once and for all. Thank you in advance.

Its the idle enhancement valve. It is inside your throttle body and coolant runs through it telling your ecu when its warmed up. Your car goes up to 2000 because the ecu thinks its cold but then it reads its warm because the valve is faulty and responds at the wrong times. It cost me something like $300 to have it done at a shop. I'm pretty sure the air intake has something to do with it.. you can keep your current air intake just replace that valve

Little reminder here.. .If your car came with certain connection or plugs that were plugged into the OEM parts you replaced, you have to plug them back in. If not, something is going to malfunction....

The 'plug' you are talking about is not there for nothing.... If your aftermarket intake has no place to connect this plug, then you either have to get the correct intake or try to macgiver it somehow (not recommended)

300 is steep for a minor annoyance, the car runs fine otherwise. Will leaving it like this have any adverse affect on my car? I plan to replace my tenzo air intake with an AEM at some point, so I'll have a place for the plug.

I don't believe so, only driveability issues...
