Prelude mileage
on my prelude i ususally do only about 320km on a full tank. I've done close to 400km once but only once. I use 91octane or higher. Is this the expected prelude mileage? It seems too low to me.

i have a '97 base model (auto) and i get get about 26 miles/gallon doing a combination of city and highway driving. i rarely go into VTEC or accelerate hard. i usually fill up around 300 miles (483 km).

i have 01 prelude se
i do rev it at least few times a day, and i hit the vtect a few times a day too. Is that why i only get around 320km?

the prelude tank is 15.9 US gallons....
to calculate your mpg or kmpg:
1. fill-up your gas tank
2. reset your odometer
3. drive as you normally do and record the mileage the next time you fill-up
4. note the amount of gas you pump in
5. take the mileage and divided it by the number of gallons you pumped

I get like 25 mpg. Like 20 if I drive hard and VTEC a lot. And maybe 26 or 27 if I drive like a grandma. What is the fuel tank capacity of the 4th gen vtec? once the light goes on i usually put in about 13.8 gallons. and can usually go about 330 miles on that much before re-filling.
Hey guys,
I'm new here... I drive a 2001 se I've had it for five months and I've got an aem cai in so far. She's about to go away for the winter.
As for your question, I usually get just over 400km per tank, and the tank is 50 liters.
On the highway I can get up to about 550, but it really depends on how I drive. Can get as low as 350. I think that the way you drive during your break in period might make significant difference.

i got about 400 miles on a full tank going to chicago from minneapolis once. i was a little bit surpised because i was cruise at an average of 80 mph.
how big is the tank on the 4th gen???
So if you just ignore your fuel light, 400 miles on a tank should be easy...
