pluging tire hole
well today i got a flat on my 3 month old tires. i took it off and the only thing i noticed was a 1 hole the size of a nail. i used the plug thing you get at 7-11. it now holds the air for longer but it still leaks it out slowly. i dont have the $ for a new tire right now.
should i pull the plug out and give it another try?

Could try another plug, or take it to a tire shop and have them patch it and not have to worry about it.
Echo - who's had 2 tires patched due to two 3" long nails

if it's on the sidewall u need a new tire. i'm assuming it's on the tread since oyu plugged it. but IMHO plugs are temporary so you can get to a gas station. only realy way to repair a hole is to patch it.
one time i took my car in to discount tire, when it didnt have a account or history at a discount tire, and they fixed it for free..
dont know if i was just lucky or what.. but its worth a shot if ur by one

If you bought the tires from Discount Tire, it is free.
BTW, those gas station plugs aren't the best idea, I know if you put one in, then by chance get another hole in the same tire and decide to take it to a shop such as Discount Tire, they will not fix it, because the gas station patches, while plugging the leak, also harm the tire.

The point of the plug is NOT to fix a flat tire but to get you moving again to take your lucky *** to a tire shop and pay $10 to have it patched right!

once being stubborn dumbass myself I can tell you exactly what will happen, yup you can pull out that plug and shove in another one and in 2-4 weeks the leak rate will increase to such a point you'll need to change the plug again.
one day that hole will get sooo loose from all the plug sex you've been giving it and it will fall out on the road giving you a pretty fast leaking flat. (I got this on the freeway until the tire got chewed up and ate itself). What can prolong the super plug from 7-11, put the plug in and then a can of the Fix-A-Flat. This will make the slow leak stop and last evening longer. But from there you better be taking real easy trips on it because if you got 2 completely seperate and different products fixing 1 tiny hole on a cheap tire... its probably not a good idea to do "spirited driving"
