Quick question. Are the Y8 5-speed and auto IM and Tb the same.

Quick question. Are the Y8 5-speed and auto IM and Tb the same.
I don't believe that they are so please let me know ASAP. A friend is looking at swapping his trans. and I told him he needed a new IM abd TB for a 5-speed because he is taking out the Auto. Thanks for the help

They are not the same. The auto has the iacv mounted on the bottom of the throttle body and is 3-wire. While the 5-speed has the iacv mounted on the back of the manifold and is 2-wire.
