JDM H22A wiring question....
k.. this has been on mah mind for a while... but one lil question....
say your doing a swap on a USDM 93 Si motor to a JDM H22A motor (4th gen) ..... and when it comes to doing the wiring..... do i have to splice the wires off the JDM H22A wire harness so it will be able to reach the connections????... i've also heard that i can use the same harness for the H23 to the H22... just that i have to wire up the VTEC..... but what i just said revert back to my first question... meaning do i still have to splice the wires off a USDM H23 to fit the JDM H22A.....
may sound confusing... but to you guys that have done the swap before... i'll try to clarify even more to get an answer.....

the only wiring that you have to do is:
vtec solenoid (green with yellow stripe) to ecu pin a4
vtec pressure switch (blue with black stripe?) to ecu pin d6
vtec ground (black) thermostat housing
you can use your old h23 harness and use the usdm distributor because the jdm one is internal coil and requires extra wiring

thanxs for the info... really appreciate it....
yea i talked to a guy that did a couple of these H22A swaps and told me about using the USDM H23 distributor.... i knew it has an external coil and the JDM H22A is internal... i didnt' quite get it why he would be using a USDM H23 distributor untill now...
thanxs again....

you can use the h23 harness...everything is exact fit. you may want to use the h23 distributor. i didnt, but i dont think mine was a jdm distributor...i didnt pay that much attention. the only wires you have to run are the 3 vtec wires. that is it. i am a pro at that swap...ask if you have any questions.
